BP 00 03

Businessowners Coverage Form

Edition in catalog: 07 13 · base

What this number is

BP 00 03 is the ISO businessowners coverage form. It packages property and liability for eligible small and mid-size operations instead of issuing a separate CG 00 01 and CP 00 10.

What it changes on a policy

The form sets both the property causes of loss and the liability insuring agreements for a BOP. Additional insureds, hired/non-owned auto, and professional-services exclusions are still usually endorsements on top of BP 00 03.

What it does not do

A BOP is not automatically enough for every contract. Some owners still want a standalone GL form number. Professional services, employee benefits, and auto are commonly excluded or limited unless endorsed.

Where it shows up

Declarations will say Businessowners or BOP and list BP 00 03 on the form schedule. Limits for liability and for buildings/personal property appear on the same declarations set.

What to look for

  • Liability each-occurrence limit versus property limits
  • Hired auto and non-owned auto (often BP 04 04)
  • Additional-insured endorsements in the BP 04 series

Coverbird reads the declarations and form schedule on the PDF you already have. It does not sell insurance or say whether a limit is enough.
