Waiver of subrogation

An endorsement that limits the insurer’s right to recover from another party after it pays a claim.

What it means

On GL it is often CG 24 04. On workers compensation it is often WC 00 03 13. They are not interchangeable. A sentence on a certificate is not the waiver.

Why it shows up

Construction and franchise contracts routinely require waivers on GL and WC. Coverbird can flag the form numbers when they appear in an uploaded PDF.

What to look for

  • Scheduled versus blanket
  • GL and WC as separate forms
  • Written-contract timing

Coverbird reads the declarations and form schedule on the PDF you already have. It does not sell insurance or say whether a limit is enough.
