CG 20 01

Additional Insured — Owners, Lessees or Contractors — Scheduled Person or Organization

Edition in catalog: 04 13 · endorsement

What this number is

CG 20 01 appears on some older schedules as additional insured for owners, lessees, or contractors—scheduled person or organization. Many current policies use CG 20 10 for the same job. If your certificate still lists CG 20 01, match it to the number on this year’s forms schedule.

What it changes on a policy

It schedules an owner, lessee, or contractor as an additional insured for the operations or premises described. Treat the schedule of names as the operative part of the endorsement.

What it does not do

It is not automatically completed-operations coverage, and it is not a waiver of subrogation. A later edition of CG 20 10 on a new policy does not mean last year’s CG 20 01 is still attached.

Where it shows up

Forms-and-endorsements schedule. If a contract template still says CG 20 01, confirm whether the carrier issued CG 20 10 instead.

What to look for

  • Whether the current schedule says CG 20 01 or CG 20 10
  • The scheduled legal name
  • CG 20 37 if completed operations were also required

Coverbird reads the declarations and form schedule on the PDF you already have. It does not sell insurance or say whether a limit is enough.
